Call Of Duty WWII Lets Everyone Feel Like A Pro Gamer
At the beginning of December Sledgehammer made a very interesting addition to Call Of Duty WWII and that is Ranked Mode. We knew this was coming, but to be honest with you never really gave it a second thought. However, Ranked Mode is pretty cool and interesting.
Ranked Mode allows us mere mortals to get a little taste of what ESports is like. It uses the same guidelines as the Call Of Duty World League so it is 4 vs 4 matches in Search And Destroys, Hardpoint and Capture The Flag. The rules that are set in the World League apply here so there are certain things you cannot use, like the care package score sheet or you cannot have the rapid fire attachment equipped.
There is a pretty sophisticated matchmaking and stat tracking system working in the background that will really test your skill and let you see just how good a Call Of Duty WWII player you are. The idea is that you want to move up the tiers and the better you get at the game the higher (in theory) tier you will climb up to. We think this is a great addition and it is sure to be a lot of fun. While some people will take it very seriously, we feel that this is going to be something that is quite addictive for even casual players of Call Of Duty WWII.
Many of us wonder if we could cut it in the world of ESports and now thanks to Ranked Mode, we can get a little taste of what it is like as we put our skills against each other!
Tips For Team Deathmatch In Call Of Duty WW2
We are getting back to basics today as we look at some simple tips which can greatly help your K/D ration in Call Of Duty WWII Team Deathmatch!
Watch Where You Run
Do not just run around in a wide open space and then be surprised that you were picked off by an enemy you did not even see! Learn each map and figure out the safest ways to get around. Being successful in Team Deathmatch is just as much about knowing the map as it is actually being a badass soldier.
Flank The Enemy
Many people just charge at the enemy head on and hope for the best, well if you can see the enemy do not do that. At best you have a 50/50 chance of coming out on top. Instead of going head on, try to flank them from the side which will give you a better chance at winning the firefight.
Take Your Time
Yes saying take your time in a run and gun shooter like Call Of Duty WWII is kind of weird. But if you want to help your team win, running around getting 1 kill for every 2 times you are killed is not helping. The teams that dominate in team Deathmatch do so by commanding a steady lead throughout the battle. So if you find yourself on the end of a real beating, start to slow it down and look for smart kills rather than running around like a maniac.
Pick The Right Weapon For The Map
If you are on a map where you will be spending a lot of time inside, in close spaces. Pick something like a shotgun. However, for the more open maps, a shotgun may not be best and you want something that has a little range to it. Changing weapons depending on the map you are on is something all the best Call Of Duty players do.
New Overwatch Skins Require Their Own Currency!
We are huge fans of Overwatch and consider it to be one of the better first person shooters released the last few years. While it may have really thrust the whole loot box thing into the mainstream, many feel that Blizzard do it in a way fairer than most.
Well with Overwatch becoming more and more popular as an ESport, Blizzard has announced that Overwatch League Skins will be coming to the game. In case you did not know, this was Blizzard's idea to make Overwatch more watchable as an ESport, by allowing a team to have their own color and logos on their characters. It is a pretty neat idea and Blizzard have said that these skins will be coming to Overwatch for regular players to enjoy.
Interestingly though, you will not be getting these Overwatch League Skins by opening a loot box like you might expect. Instead, you will be having to use a new form of currency called League Tokens, as far as we know, League Tokens only purpose in the game will be to buy these Overwatch League skins. Some people are not happy about this new currency, but we feel it is the best way to handle this. Just imagine if you have zero interest in ESports, open a loot box and instead of getting that awesome Soldier 76 skin you have been wanting for ages, you get some random ESports team skin that you have never heard of!
All the details have not yet been given, but we do know that when the system launches, Blizzard is giving all players enough League Tokens to buy one Overwatch League Skin so at least we can all see what the fuss is about.
